Gulfstream Park racing plans a 9-race program Friday to start its live 3 days of racing; with a 12:50 p.m. post time. The Sunshine Meet, runs about 12 weeks through Nov. 26th and started Sept. 1.
The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:20 PM with race #4. The carryover Friday on this bet will be $75,913.
In the last live racing, September 17th, 3 favorites won on the day, 1 in the last 6 races. The longshot winner was Sonicus at 5:1 in race 4. The Rainbow 6 wager paid $629.60 to 50 bettors. All race-time favorites finished in the money Sunday, except race 6 which decreased the payouts in the other races also.
63 runners entered the gates Sunday, with 42 entries in the Rainbow 6 sequence.
The winning program numbers on the Rainbow (last 6 races) were: 2-1-6-6-2/8-1.
Total all-sources track handle was $3.39 million Sunday. The purse money totaled $270,000 under cloudy-fast conditions.
