Thursday’s Gulfstream Racing; Sunday’s Results

by HorseRacing FLA staff
Gulfstream Park has an 8-race card Thursday, April 27th.

First post is at 12:40 PM.
Gulfstream races Thursday through Sunday in the Royal Palm meet at the Hallandale Beach, Fla. track with 12:40 PM Post Times except some Holiday and Stakes variations.

No stakes races are on the card. The 3rd through 8th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:38 PM. There’s a $189,453 Rainbow 6 carryover on the day, with a $275,000 gross pool guarantee if one winner emerges.

James Freer’s Press Badges

In last Sunday’s racing action, 7 winners of the Rainbow 6 collected $8,290.64 each on the 20-cent combination-bet. Two favorites won in the last 6 races. Fifty horses competed in the Rainbow 6 races, with Dominate Themoment the long-odds winner on the day at 10:1 in race 5.

We honored our former Editor Jim Freer at Sunday’s racing. His close friends gathered at the track for food, drink and racing action. Jim’s race was race 5 in which two horses did not finish; one losing it’s jockey! Jim would have loved that drama in his reporting.

The Rainbow 6 program winners were: 5-4-2-8-6/9/13-11.

Total all-sources track handle was $6.44 million Sunday, along with a $313,000 purse size.

Rest in Peace Jim. Thanks for all your friendship the past 35 years!
