Gulfstream Park has an 8-race card Wednesday, March 22nd.
First post is at 12:40 PM; last call to the gate near 4:10 PM.
Gulfstream races Wednesday through Sunday at the Hallandale Beach, Fla. track with 12:40 PM Post Times except some Holiday and Stakes variations.
No stakes races are on the Wednesday card. The 3rd through 8th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:38 PM. There’s a $415,596 Rainbow 6 carryover on the day, with a $600,000 gross pool guarantee if one winner emerges.
On the last live racing day, Sunday, Mar. 19th, 4 winners of the Rainbow 6 collected $40,135.20 each on the 20-cent bet. Just one favorite won in the last 6 races, and two horses won by a “NECK” to thwart most bettors; No Deliberation was 15:1 in the 8th race and Captain Jack was a long 36:1 in the 10th race. Fifty-four horses competed in the Rainbow 6 races. The program winners were: 5-2-2/6-6-3-8.
The late Pick 5 paid a handsome $17,508 Sunday.
The other carryover is the Super Hi-5 of $76,381. This is a big carryover for this wager. It shaped up as race 8 Sunday carried $9,885 over. Race 9 had just 5 entries, so the wager was not offered (7 horses needed for the Super High 5). Then the last race (#10) had a BIG pool of $81,121 with no winner. After the 15% takeout by the track, we have a $76,381 carryover. Why not wager with other folks money who lost their bets! Look for a huge pool in Wednesday’s 1st race, where 10 starters are listed to run the $20,000 Maiden Claiming race at 1-1/16th mile on the turf course. See you in the winners circle !
