Wet Conditions Move Florida Races Off Turf

Gulfstream Park has moved four of Sunday’s six scheduled-for-turf races to the dirt track, which is listed as Fast.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Downs has moved all four of Sunday’ scheduled-for-turf races to the dirt track that is listed as Good.

The two Florida tracks made those changes due to lingering wet conditions after rain during the last several days.

The Gulfstream races that are off the turf are the first, third, fifth and eighth.

The seventh and 11th races remain scheduled for turf, which is listed as Good.

First post is 12:40 p.m. at Gulfstream for Sunday’s 11-race card.
The Rainbow 6 has a carryover of $654,922.  The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races six to eleven with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:10 p.m.

First post is 12:20 p.m. at Tampa Bay for a nine-race card. 

The Pick 6 has a carryover of $13,698. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races four to nine with the sequence scheduled  to start at 1:50 p.m.

Skies are cloudy at Gulfstream in Hallandale Beach, Fla., and at Tampa Bay Downs in Oldsmar, Fla.

The Weather Channel forecast is for less than a 20 percent chance of rain during racing hours at each track.
