The thoroughbred racing world is looking forward to Gulfstream Park’s Saturday card, which will have the $3 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Grade 1) and six other graded stakes races.
Meanwhile, Gulfstream has ten races on Friday. The carryover on the Rainbow 6 is $35,381 It will be on races five through ten, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:38 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday, Gulfstream is continuing to race without general spectators–a practice it has followed since last March due to COVID-19 restrictions.
For Saturday, Gulfstream is opening up portions of its ground floor, second floor and third floor where ticket purchasers can watch and wager on races and dine at restaurants.
On Friday, Gulfstream officials said the track has stopped its sales of tickets for Saturday.
Gulfstream is not commenting on whether it plans to allow spectators beyond Saturday.
