After being dark on Monday and Tuesday, the Gulfstream Park West meet will resume racing on Wednesday with eight races and first post of 12:00 p.m.
GP West: Super Hi-5 Carryover on Wednesday
The GP West meet is run at Calder in Miami Gardens, Fla.
The first race will have a carryover of $14,229 on the Super Hi-5. That race is a $46,000 Maiden Special Weight at five furlongs on turf for 2-YO fillies.
Based on betting history at Gulfstream Park-sponsored meets, it is likely that $50,000 or more will be bet on the Super Hi-5.
It requires picking the first five finishers in correct order, with no consolation payoffs such as four of five.
There were no winning Super Hi-5 bets in any of Sunday’s last three races that had the bet. GP West has the Super Hi-5 on all races with seven or more starters.
On Wednesday, the Rainbow 6 carryover is $10,744. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races three to eight, with the sequence scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
