Gulfstream: Ten Palms at Capacity for Belmont; Rainbow 6 Carryover is $81,362

Gulfstream Park’s twelve-race Saturday card is underway.
There are no stakes races on the card. The carryover on the Rainbow 6 is $81,362.  The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races seven to twelve, with the sequence scheduled to begin at  3:10 p.m.

Gulfstream is guaranteeing that the Rainbow 6 pool will be at least $250,000.
And as on every day  since March 13, Gulfstream’s ground floor is closed to spectators and it is not taking bets there–due to concerns about possible spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
But if you had acted quickly this week, you might have been able to reserve a seat in the Ten Palms restaurant on the track’s second floor–and bet on today’s Belmont Stakes.
Ten Palms has mutuel clerks who are taking bets on Gulfstream races and simulcasts of other tracks including Belmont Park.
Gulfstream announced on June 11 that it would open its second floor casino room on Thursday June 18 and open the adjacent Ten Palms on Friday June 19.

Word that Ten Palms would offer betting began filtering out (including a report in HorseRacingFLA on Tuesday) and by Wednesday all tables and seats wee taken for Saturday at Ten Palms.

Because of social distancing, the Gulfstream casino and Ten Palms  have capacity limits lower than pre=coronavirus.
