Gulfstream to Open Spring Meet on Thursday; Will Continue Racing with No Spectators

Gulfstream Park will open its 2020 Spring Meet on Thursday with nine races and a first post of  1:00 p.m.

 

On Thursday and until otherwise noted, Gulfstream will race with no spectators and no on-track betting.  Only trainers, their staffs, jockeys, vital Gulfstream employees and state regulatory personnel are allowed on the racing property.

 

The Hallandale Beach, Fla., track has been  racing with no spectators since March 13.  It has been doing that as part of its efforts to comply with federal and state government guidances on limiting the size of public events amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 


There are 54 race days scheduled in the meet, which will end June 30. The race days will be Thursdays through Sundays, unless otherwise noted.

–On Thursday morning, we will have an expanded preview of Gulfstream’s spring meet.
