GP Rainbow 6 Carryover Nears $2.5 Million

Gulfstream Park will have Rainbow 6 carryover of $2,477,362 on Thursday .

First post will be 12:35 p.m. for a ten-race card. The Rainbow  6, a 20-cents per combination only bet, will  be on races five through ten with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.

The Rainbow 6 carryover has grown because Wednesday was Gulfstream’s 33rd straight race day (entire championship  meet thus far)  without the jackpot/carryover payoff requirement of just one ticket with all six Rainbow six winning horses.

On Wednesday, all six winners were at 3-1 or lower.

That resulted in a relatively low payoff of $166.9 on the 20  cent bet.  HRFLA’s  calculation shows there were 1,518 winning tickets.

Program numbers of the winning horses were  9-7-4-9-10-7.

Wednesday’s wagering on the Rainbow  was $439,120.

Of that, Gulfstream  took out  20 percent. Of the remainder of the day’s Rainbow 6 bet, it divided 56 percent among winning tickets and added 24 percent to the carryover.
