The Gulfstream Park West meet will have its heavily anticipated closing day on Sunday.with a mandatory payout of its Rainbow 6 carryover of $1,094,464.
First post is 12:30 p.m. for a nine race card at Calder in Miami Gardens.
The Rainbow 6, a 20-cents- per combination only bet, will be on races four through nine with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:17 p.m.
There will be mandatory payouts (i. e. no carryovers) on the Late Pick an Late Pick 5 and on the Super Hi-5 in the ninth and final race.
On the Rainbow 6, meet sponsor Gulfstream Park will divide the full carryover plus 80 percent of new Rainbow 6 bets among tickets that have the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
Thus, HorseRacingFLA expects that more than $5 million will be bet on the Rainbow 6.
