The carryover on the Gulfstream Park West meet’s Rainbow 6 has grown to $396,350.60 for Thursday’s card.
First post is 1:00 p.m. for the eight-race card at Calder in Miami Gardens.
The Rainbow 6, a 20-cent per combination only bet, will be on races three to eight with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:00 p.m.
That will follow an extremely chalky Wednesday when seven of the eight races were won by favorites. The only exception was the eighth race, won by Cause for Pardon at 7-1.
Those results left 468 tickets with all six winners. Each received $167.48 on a 20 cent bet.
Program numbers. of the winning horses were 8-2-7-7-4-2.
Bettors added approximately $140,000 to the Rainbow 6 pool.
Per its rules on days with multiple Rainbow 6 winning tickets, meet sponsor Gulfstream Park took out 20 percent of that bet. It divided 56 percent among winning tickets and added 24 percent to the carryover.
