Gulfstream Park plans a 10 race schedule Friday, with a first post listed as 2:00 PM.
No stakes races are planned, as is usual for the weekdays in summer meets. This will be day 12 of the Summer meet.
In Thursday’s racing, 71 starters ran 9 races on the firm course. Just two winners were listed as favorites at post time. Three winners at 6:1 or higher in the last 5 races resulted in nice dollars for Pick 5 and Rainbow wagers.
The Late Pick 5 paid: $5,972.35
The Rainbow 6 wager paid $15,918 to 3 winning ticket holders. There’s 49 entries listed for the Rainbow 6 Friday, so that could be cut to the mid-40’s with a few scratches. Could set up another payoff of size depending on the odds.
Bettors added $78,800 to the Rainbow 6 pool Thursday, and the carryover grew by $18,897 after Gulfstream paid out the winners and took their 20% takeout. The Friday carryover is $132,718. The Rainbow wager gets underway in race 5 at approx. 4:00 PM.
The Super Hi-5 wager carryover is listed at $2,203, most likely in race 1 unless there’s a scratch.
