Gulfstream Park plans a 9-race card Thursday, with a 1:15 PM first post. 68 entries are listed, with no stakes races.
In Wednesday’s racing action, a special added race day to their normal Thursday – Sunday meet schedule – 58 starters ran 8 races, with two favorites entering the winners circle. No favorite finished worse than fourth, which led to smalish payouts. A 5:1 win by Marcelino in the 4th race over favorite Honolulu Express in a $20k claimer was the day’s upset win. Travelin Gambler at 2:1 won the sole 2 year-old race in the 5th; a $50,000 claimer.
Forty-six horses competed in the Rainbow 6 races (#3-8), and the growing carryover surpasses $2 million to start today.
Here are Wednesday’s late race payouts.
Late Pick 4 paid: $116.15
Late Pick 5 paid: $564.25
Rainbow 6 paid: $623.90 to approx. 216 winners.
