Sunday’s Gulfstream; 1:10 Post; Saturday’s Results, Carryovers

Gulfstream Park plans a 12-race card Sunday. First post is 1:10 PM. The last race gate will open about 6:40 PM.

No stakes races are planned.

The Rainbow 6 carryover will be $2,322,113 when racing starts Sunday; the 7th race is the start of that wager; with an approx. post time of 4:10 PM. There are 50 entries for those 6 races; 55 horses raced on Saturday.

On Saturday’s racing action, just 3 winners emerged on the Rainbow 6 wager, each pocketing $112,987 before taxes. Like Friday, just two winners were favorites on the day, and a 42:1 win by Raki  in race 10 was the outlier that made for the huge payday. As expected, the pool was $605,000 on the Rainbow bet.

There were 10 scratches in the Rainbow sequence to get to 55 starters. Interestingly, Race 7, which was out of the sequence (Rainbow was races 8-13), was won by Chief White Sox at 78:1, edging the favorite by a head. We think two long-odds wins will be needed for a single winner in the last 6 races on any race day.

The Late Pick 4 paid $27,117, and the Late Pick 5 paid $82,387 – kingly payouts to a few very lucky bettors.

The Super Hi-5 wager will show a carryover of $8,809 in the first race with 7 or more starters Sunday.

Good Luck, and don’t forget to subscribe – see top menu on this site.
