We will have additional coverage on our blog, which can be accessed on the menu bar at the top of the home page of this Web site.
Two of the races are the second legs of the Florida Sires Stakes (FSS) series. The races are for 2-year-old sons and daughters of Florida-based stallions whose owners have nominated them for the series.
The FSS races are the $200,000 Affirmed for males and the $200,000 Susan’s Girl for fillies.
Both races are seven furlongs on dirt.

The ten-horse field includes Capture Your Dream and Select Friday, the winner and second place finisher in the FSS $100,000 Desert Vixen at six furlongs on Aug. 4.

Both races are open to horses bred in any state. But they are “Florida preferred” in that the Florida Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association is offering bonuses of up to $25,000 in each race for Florida-breds that finish first, second or third.
