Gulfstream’s Saturday Card; Carryovers

Gulfstream Park will run 13 races Saturday, as the second leg of the Florida Sire Stakes gets underway. First post time is 12:15 PM ET at the Hallandale, Fla. racetrack.

Friday’s action saw many low odds winners on the 9 race card, with the highest odds horse being City Roc in race one at 17:1. Total handle was a respectable $4.35 million. 52 starters were in the Rainbow 6 sequence.

The popular Rainbow 6 wager was ho-hum, with a smallish pool of $42,698, which was expected after the jackpot being hit on Thursday (see prior post for the details).

The bet paid $795 Friday for 6 of 6, with race 5 bring the hardest to handicap as Black Prong (6:1) won the 1 mile turf race in a 9 horse field.

For Saturday, look for much larger pools due to the 4 Stakes races for two-year olds in races 6,11,12 and 13.
Race 8 will start the Rainbow 6 wager at approximately 3:52 PM ET. The carryover is $10,243 on the bet; with no pick-4, pick-5 or Super Hi-5 carryovers.
