Gulfstream will ante up a 12-race card Sunday, as the summer racing season enters its last month. First post is 12:45 PM.
Saturday’s action was a 13 race card with 125 starters, where a few surprises in the Sire Stakes races led to huge payouts late in the day. The late pick 5 paid $17,603, as 12:1 and 23:1 odds winners in the Susan’s Girl and Proud Man Stakes races (11,12). Those facts were enough to out smart the Rainbow-6 bettors, as no one had 6 of 6, and the 5 of 6 paid just $1,993 for 18 lucky patrons.
Track total handle was $7.81 million, the best since August 4, the first leg of the Sire Stakes series.
Sunday’s card starts with a $25,620 carryover on the Rainbow-6, and no carryovers for the Pick-4, Pick-5 and Super Hi-5 wagers. Race 7 starts the Rainbow 6 at approximately 3:52 PM.
Good Luck!
