Continuing its summer racing program, Gulfstream Park will run 1o races Friday, with the first post time at 2:00 PM ET. Track conditions are fast and firm as of Friday morning. There are no stakes races.
Thursday’s action saw a continuing carryover of the popular Rainbow-6, where a nice payout of $7,949 was had by just 4 winning bettors. Just one favorite has the win in the sequence, races 5-10, and the last race winner was 27:1, which no doubt knocked out a lot of bets from consideration. The pool was a lowly $56,797 as they are on summer weekdays. The 43 starters in this wager was low; a good chance to go deep in some legs. With a carryover of $95,804, we expect lower pools as Gulfstream competes with Saratoga for wagering dollars.
The Super Hi-5 carryover Friday will be $3,150, and the Rainbow 6 start will be race 5 at 4:00 pm post.
