Florida Tracks Have Nine Saturday Stakes

On Saturday, Tampa Bay Downs will run the first four stakes races of its 2017-2018 season.

Those races are part of a ten-race program, with first post scheduled for 12:25 p.m.

Gulfstream Park will have five Saturday stakes races. All are Grade 3, with $100,000 purses.  They are part of an 11-race card with first post of 12:00 p.m.

Tampa Bay Stakes

*2nd race – Florida Sire Stakes $125,000 City of Ocala, 7 furlongs on dirt for 3-year old fillies that are bred in Florida and eligible for FSS races

*3rd race—Florida Sire Stakes $125,000 Marion County, 7 furlongs on dirt for 3-year-old males that  are bred in Florida and eligible for FSS races.

*6th race — $100,000 Sandpiper, 6 furlongs on dirt for 2-year-old fillies.

*9th race — $100,000 Inaugural, 6 furlongs on dirt for 2-year-old males.

Gulfstream Stakes

*5th race – Rampart, one mile on dirt for fillies and  mares 3-years-old and up

*7th race – Sugar Swirl – six furlongs on dirt for fillies and mares, 3-years-old and up

*8th race – My Charmer—one mile on turf for fillies and mares, 3-years-old and up

*9th race – Harlan’s Holiday– 1 1/16 miles on dirt, 3-year-olds and up

*10th race – Tropical Turf – one mile on turf for 3-year-olds and up
