Racing off the Turf on Thursday at GP

With rain falling and more in the forecast, Gulfstream Park will not have any turf racing on Thursday.

The five races scheduled for turf have been moved to the dirt track that is listed as sloppy. The races taken off the turf are the first, fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth.

First post is 1:15 p.m. for the ten-race Thursday card.

Starting later this morning, our blog will have coverage of today’s Gulfstream racing,”including scratches. Our blog can be accessed on the menu bar at the top of the home page of his web site.

Bettors should be aware that wet conditions could impact Gulfstream racing for several days.

On Thursday morning, the National Weather Service issued a flood watch from 11 a.m. Thursday through Saturday morning for an area that includes Gulfstream

A Flood Watch is issued when conditions are favorable for flooding. It does not mean flooding will occur, but it is possible.

The Flood Watch area includes all of Broward County and all of Miami-Dade County.

Gulfstream is in Hallandale Beach–the southeastern corner of Broward and om the boundary with Miami-Dade.
