HorseRacingFLA Staff Report
Conditions are listed as fast and firm at Gulfstream Park for a nine-race card on Sunday.
First post is 1:15 p.m.
The Sunday card follows five days in which Gulfstream took at least one race off the turf due to rain or lingering wet conditions.
There are no stakes races on Sunday.
The big attraction is a Rainbow 6 carryover that has reached $842,532. It will be on races four through nine.
The carryover has grown because Gulfstream has gone 30 straight race days without the jackpot payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
Next Saturday, June 17, Gulfstream will have a mandatory payout of the Rainbow 6 carryover–no matter the number of winning tickets on the 20-cent per combination only bet.
On the first race, there will be a carryover of $2,684 on the Super Hi-5.
The Weather Channel forecast is for just a 15 percent chance of rain during racing hours in Hallandale Beach, the location of Gulfstream.
The first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth races are scheduled for turf.
We will be at Gulfstream and will have coverage on our blog, which can be accessed on the menu bar at the top of this Web site’s home page.
