It is the ninth race, with scheduled post of 5:19 p.m.
There is a carryover of $36,373 on the Rainbow 6. It is on races five through ten, with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:09 p.m.
We will have coverage on our blog, which can be accessed on the menu bar at the top of the home page of this Web site.
Gulfstream’s original schedule for its spring and summer meets did not show any stakes races until April 29.
This week, Gulfstream added the Roar and the $75,000 Game Face that will be run this Saturday. The Game Face is seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-old fillies that have never won a stakes race.
Gulfstream vice president and general manager of racing P.J. Campo late last month said the track will consider adding stakes with purses of $60,000 or of $75,000, depending on the availability of horses.
It turned out that enough runners were available for the conditions of this weekend’s two stakes.
The Roar has nine entrants, and the Game Face has eight entrants.
