Gulfstream Park had all-sources handle of $40,217,924 on Saturday, setting its all-time daily record for handle other than on three days when it held the Breeders’ Cup.
The Saturday handle was fueled by betting on the $12 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Grade 1), which was the last race on the 12-race card.
Gulfstream’s previous non-Breeders’ Cup record was $32,082,270 set on April 2, 2016 when it had 14 races including the Florida Derby.
Gulfstream’s record for all-sources handle (total handle) was $100,336,232 set Nov. 6, 1999 for eight Breeders’ Cup races.
