Gulfstream Thursday Preview

HorseracingFLA Staff Report

Conditions are fast for the main track and firm for the dirt for Thursday’s eight-race card at Gulfstream Park, with first post at 1:15 p.m.

Light rain fell during part of the morning at Gulfstream. However, the Weather Channel forecast is for just a 15 percent chance of rain during racing hours in Hallandale Beach where Gulfstream is located.

Four races (the even numbered ones) are scheduled for turf—all with the rail at 115 feet.

In the second race there is a carryover, from Sunday’s last race of $3,701.06 on the Super Hi-5.

Gulfstream requires a minimum of seven starters to have that bet.

Thursday’s first race has just six entrants. The second race has seven entrants, and as of 11:50 a.m. there are no scratches.

There is a carryover of $21,185 on the Rainbow 6. It is on races three to  eight.
