HorseracingFLA Staff Report

Gulfstream Park has its regular schedule this week, with live racing Wednesday through Sunday. Daily first post is 1:15 p.m.

The Gulfstream Condition Book shows no stakes races on any days this week.

Gulfstream also will have simulcasts of Saturday’s $1.5 million Preakness Stakes (Grade 1) and of all of the other Thursday through Saturday races at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore.

Tampa Bay Downs will not have live racing until June 30 and July 1, its annual two-day Summer Festival of Racing.

Meanwhile, it is open daily for simulcasting. That will include all of this week’s races from Gulfstream and from Pimlico.

On Friday, Pimlico will have seven stakes. The feature is the Black Eyed Susan (Grade 2) at 1 1/8 miles on dirt for 3-year-old fillies. Post time is 4:50 p.m. Eastern for the Black Eyed Susan.

Entries for Pimlico’s Friday races and information on the Preakness may be found on the Pimlico Web site.

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Pimlico will draw post positions for the Preakness.  Also on Wednesday it will draw posts for its seven other Saturday stakes races.

The Preakness post time is 6:18 p.m. Eastern on Saturday.

Information on the Florida tracks’ Preakness week activities may be found on the Gulfstream Park Web site and on the Tampa Bay Downs Web site.
