Rainbow 6 Mandatory Payout — Our Picks

By HorseracingFLA Staff
Sunday, June 27 — There were multiple winners in the Rainbow 6 at Gulfstream Park yesterday. So, there will be a mandatory payout today of the entire Rainbow 6 pool (the day’s bets plus carryover).

The carryover will be $383,473.91. Based on recent history, it is likely that more than $1 million will be added to the pool today.

The Rainbow 6 is on today’s fifth through tenth races, starting at 3 p.m.

If you are reading this, you probably know how the Rainbow 6 works.

So, let’s cut to the races and add our two cents worth (actually $162 worth) to the handicapping.

We are writing this at 11:45 a.m., before heading to Gulfstream.

It rained at Gulfstream this morning, adding to moisture from yesterday’s rains that led Gulfstream to take late races off the turf.

Conditions are listed as fast and firm. But there is a 45 percent rain chance in the forecast from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“How heavy?” is as hard to answer as handicapping the Rainbow 6.

If around 2:30 it is raining and looks like a washout day, Gulfstream likely will take races off the turf rather than wait until after the Rainbow 6 has started its run.

The sixth, eighth and tenth races are scheduled for turf.

Here is our mental bet Rainbow 6 ticket. It is $162.00, assuming that people will team up on the bet today.
