HorseracingFLA Staff Report
Today will be the busiest day yet in Florida’s 2015-2016 racing season.

* Gulfstream Park will have three Grade 3 stakes races, all with $100,000 purses.

The Sugar Swirl is six furlongs on dirt for fillies and mares, 3-years-old and up.

The W.L. McKnight is 1 ½ miles on turf for 3-year-olds and up.

The La Prevoyante is 1 ½ miles on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.

*Tampa Bay Downs will have ten races, with four on the turf surface that is attractive to bettors.

Antonio Gallardo, who leads the jockey standings 25-9 over Daniel Centeno has mounts in nine of the races.

* Hialeah Park will open its seventh consecutive season of Quarter Horse racing, amid ongoing questions of “will the thoroughbreds ever come back?”

We have posted previews of all three tracks on our blog.

This afternoon on our blog, we will have on-site coverage at Gulfstream and we will be monitoring Tampa Bay.
